ok, so apart from my paper mario game... I am now making a fps game... I started it today, August 11th, 6:35 PM and have been working on it almost non stop since then... yes, I am very bored...

this engine supports:

wall shadows
enemies that DONT fire at you but you can shoot them
gun recoil effect
bullets are created when fireing
good z axis
bone system (3d human animations)
ramps
2 gun (colt .45 and a sniper)
REAL loading bar (yes, its not a fake one)
cool starting game effect (you start out in a helocopter)
AND MORE

Controls:

WSAD = move
mouse = aim
RMB = aim
C = duck/crouch
shift = run
E = trhow Grenade
space = pick up gun

in menu:
W/S = navigate
space/Enter = select

August 17th , 11:41 AM: added a new gun (Thompson) fixed ALOT of glitches, added a nice rain effect with lightning and thunder... and a whole loads more...

August 13th , 10:30 PM: added a new level (theres now boot camp, and part of lvl1) made a saving system, fixed a bunch of glitches, and more

August 12th , 10:48 PM: controls changed, added a new weapon, bullets and grenades hurt you, new option in options menu, and more...

August 11th , 5:06 PM: now has a title screen, and an options screen

August 11th , 2:10 PM: Now has an m16, grenades you can throw, even better bullet decting, and more.

August 11th , 3:02 AM: NOW HAS A SNIPER






this is just a beta, so expect some more...


IF YOU ARE A GOOOD GAME MAKER 7 ONLINE PROGRAMMER AND KNOW HOW TO USE soc.dll, gmsql.dll, and libmySQL.dll, + Mplay functions in GM, pm me, cause i want to make this game online but I suck at online stuffz....


CREDITS:
monkey_dude (gmc) made the bone system example
kamega (yoyogames) made gun models and human modles+ textured them
my self: 90 % of the programming, wall shadows, gun programming, and more

This plays pretty well. I do have a few complaints though:

The crosshair doesn't seem like any crosshair you'd see used for a pistol.

The bullets that shoot from the gun go no where near the center of the crosshair.

The recoils is pretty high for a pistol and it should go back to where you were aiming.

But it's a beta. The engine itself seems to work well. Once you smooth it out and make it more fluid you should have a great game on your hands.

I know, I could find a better crosshair tho...

ya, I set the spray variable too high for that gun...

k, I lower it... and I cant get it to go back to where you are aiming for some reasion...

The recoil thing should be the first you fix. A real person would aim the gun back at whatever he was trying to shoot.

ok, I have fixed the recoil.... mostly...
and I have added another gun (a sniper) which is more accurate and its recoil is higher...
I will release soon...

ok, updated

now has a sniper with a sniper scope
better bullet detection
fixed redicle sprite, and recoil
bullets are more accurate

It's much better now but I still think the pistol is incredibly inaccurate. I'm no gun expert so I can't really make a recommendation but I don't think it should spray at something 5 feet in front of me.

ok, its now updated to version .21A, this version has:

bullet holes (appear on walls when shot at)
better bullet accuracey
1 new gun (use E to cycle through weapons)
you can throw a gernade (by pressing Q)
AI improved....

sorry, I cant use those...... I cant UV map them for some reason.... and when I convert them to .d3d code, then the file size becomes 200-300 kb which will slow down the game too much... Im sorry I cant use them...
