Awesome. Group: Members Posts: 3587 Member No.: 2033 Joined: 23-April 06 Status: (0d)	Howdy! I just thought I'd show off my latest sprite project. It's old school Mario! This is very much a W.I.P. as I plan to do many more poses, but I thought I'd post what I had done so far. I put the double size ones on there so you could see the details better. What do you think? And some of the shades, in particular, the darkest on the boot, need more contrast. The side poses look great, but something about the front poses bugs me.

I'm gonna leave the light source directly above him. I like it that way, and it matches the official artwork pretty well, although the shading on the artwork isn't consistent from game to game. Since there isn't a lot of shading, I think it's okay. EDIT: Dr. Light, could you elaborate on what bugs you about the front poses? They would seem perfect in an RPG type game. -------------------- Falcon Punch is the result of the Sun heating fists. It drives the Blue Falcon. A valid point, but I'm not going to change it for one reason. I sampled the colors right of the official artwork. They don't have a lot of contrast, either. He generally looks pretty flat.
