Sprite Comps aren't fun riddles to play around. You know what he ment. and if what you sprite is not what he wanted. Even if it works under your rules, it can still be disqualified.

This is my entry. (G/S/C style, this uses diglet's pallete).

Yeah, but he was using the traditional rpg as an example. It says that, as a whole, the idea is to sprite Mario themed things in a pokemon style.

Not that it matters to me, I'm not entering.

Whoo I'm totally enterin'. I've even made a Pokèmon-styled sprite of my char :P

Is there something wrong with the arm?

Yeah. It looks a little weak, try thickining the base of the arm.

I'd put it in a fancier pose.
Right now it's looking like it's just gonna stand there. Pokemon tend to always be in fancy poses, so yeah.

I really like how you did Mario's face :]

His stance, though, is pretty awkward- and his arms look kinda flimsy

I don't really understand how Sprite Comps work yet :P

sorry about the lack of info guys...I just came up with this one on the spot. I couldn't log in for 2 days, and I was on vacation for a week.


Basically:

For this sprite comp I would like to have to of Nintendos best selling game worlds mixed into one. We all now the style that pokemon has, and we are all familier with mario characters and enemies. I would like this sprite comp to be Mario characters and enemies in the style of pokemon sprites. Whether it be the pokemons poses or Trainer sprites, be creative. For example, A trainer pose for mario, if he were a pokemon trainer, a front and back pose for yoshi as if he was a pokemon. I know its a little broad, but just be creative.

Rules:
-keep in mind the size (must be according to pokemon sprite size restrictions)

-No edits
-Entries must have more then one sprite
-If you chose a generations style it must follow its color guidlines
-battle screen mock-ups are aloud if another sprite is given.
-entries can only be in the main games style. This means NO PM, PP, PT, PPL,PTCG,etc.
