Norton's (lol Norton okay?) detected two spybots. They happen to be the same one, but Norton can't get rid of them. Anyone know of a really really good spyware/bot removal program?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry ohmy.gif
Try removing it manually with an administrator account or something on Add/Remove programs.

I removed everything I installed from within a week from when Norton detected it.

But I want to be extra sure, so I want to find a really good program and scan again.

Try Webroot Spy Sweeper. It works really well, and can come with a firewall/anitvirus or just plain. I use Spy Sweeper+AnitVirus.

You need to use a good program like spybot, which is built for the removal of spyware:
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html
Install and update it> go to advanced mode > settings > settings and tell it to run once when your PC next starts. That should usually sort most minor malware. If not, the staf on their forums will hapily help you if you post a log using a program called Hijack This!

I heard somewhere that AVG will mess with Norton?
Is this true?

Pretty much this. Norton is a horrible anti-virus.

My parents wouldn't dream of it.
My cousin who's a computer "expert" told them that Norton is the best.
