I downloaded a really weird engine, when i unzipped it all i found were two GM4 files and a bunch of GIF's and stuff. DIdnt think much of it until i opened up the gm file and found out that none of those picture files we'rent in the engine so i was like "ok.." I tested out the game and it worked fine. Ok, well i took the engine file to another comp and it appears that nothign shows up because the picture files we'rent with it, the weird part is that the scripts dont associate themselves with the picture files. So how the hecj does it manage to use them when they aren even in the GM file?! headslap.gif

1.) Don't use headslap.gif (Sorry I had to say this forgive me plz.)

2.) GM actually can recognize external files, using gml, it's possible to have the sprites outside of the game, thus saving space and loading time. That being said however, I'm not familiar with gm4, so I don't quite know if this is possible in that version.

The reason it didn't work on the other computer is most likely because you didn't include the picture files in the same file as the engine. Get what I'm saying?
