That incident is entirely irrelevant to this. You ARE being uptight right now, and it makes no sense.

These topics aren't hurting you in any way, and they're not harming anyone else. You can just not click on threads with titles like this if they annoy you so much. It's not like it's necessary to know whether people are really leaving or not, unless they're some of the few members you actually know. If these topics are an annoyance at all, they are minutely small compared to the numerous actual problems these forums have.

It's basically the same thing as before multiple topics about the same thing were locked. This is almost the same thing: <member> is going on vacation.

I'm not the type of person who will let people pour opinions into me. I think it is annoying because it is misleading, not because, what, three other people find it annoying. It's just unecessary. In fact, it's kind of pointless posting stuff like this in GC. Someone leaving for a while isn't really a 'chatty subject, so it shouldn't be in a General Chat place. And because no such place for these topics exist, they shouldn't do it in the first place.

It's just outright stupidity. Not even original, mind.

And thanks, Razz for changing it. Rather admirable.

Well not like it should be warnable, though imo it doesn´t make any sense either.
Like you tell them you´re away and most of them actually don´t even care about.

This is another reason topics with titles like this one (used to be) should not be made.
They just get full of arguments as to whether such topics should be created or not.
