I have been wanting to expiriment with adobe flash, and I have a question.

When copy and pasting a sprite from a sprite sheet in, how do I remove the white box around it, so it transparifys?

1: Save sprite sheet (If it's really big, save it in parts)
2: File - Import - Import to stage
3: Choose the sprite sheet
4: Click on sprite sheet
5: Modify - Bitmap - Trace Bitmap
6: Make the color threshold something like 20 or 25, less if it's a really small sprite sheet - The larger the sheet, the higher that number. You lose quality when it gets really high, but it makes Flash move faster.
Minimum area should be 1.
Curve fit should be pixels.
Corner threshold should be normal.
Then hit ok.
7: Click on background and get rid of it.


You can then start putting the sprites in Movie Clips or Graphics.
