Because if they do, and it's like California's overtime where you get time and a half after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week, you'd be making bank

I'm fairly sure he isn't doing it for 13 hours every day, though. I doubt anyone could live if they tried to do that.

In America, at least, overtime is anything over 40 hours a week.

Yeah, I know there's a national minimum wage and all that stuff, but states still have a minimum wage lower than the national minimum wage

School gets a bad rep that it doesn't deserve

He said he doesn't know which days he's working so I assume that means not every day.

I don't adjust my feelings to those around me. There is no osmosis going on. I'm sorry you do like like your job. I, however, will complain about school or whatever else as much as I did before I saw this. Other people do not determine how I feel.

All of you really need to stop whining. It doesn't matter "how bad I have it compared to you;" there will always be people better and worse off. If you're going to complain about it and desperately fish for sympathy, then go join LiveJournal or something. Please.

Your job sucks apparantly.
If I had such a lousy job I'd quit it and rather have no money, because crap life is crap life, with or without money... But that's just my philosophy, you might think differently.

If you're making $11 an hour, you need to stop complaining. You're obviously making more than me, and I live in a state that totally deprived of funds.

You should be glad that you have a job at least. Although that no days off thing, you might want to talk to the administration about that because you're supposed to have at least 1 day off during the week.

I don't mean to be harsh or anything, but what is the point in making this topic? I daresay that you're just trying to get a sympathy vote. If you have bad working conditions, how is that going to make people who think homework is hard think that it isn't? You're factor of your work is completely independent of the personal measurement of difficulty of homework.

It's just a pointless topic. Like someone said before, there's nothing to talk about. It isn't debatable or interesting. Quite frankly, who cares if your job isn't good? You could just say to people that homework isn't hard (which it isn't btw), and that would've sufficed.

I don't hate my job. In fact, I quite like it. But school is nowhere nearly as hazardous and quitting is obviously not an option. All I'm saying is you people whine about the pettiest **** ever. Hurrr my uncle doesn't like me hurrr i have homework.

Well your situation can be compared to other people to show how yours is not that bad.



If you want to make a point about something with a comparison, it is always best to be able to use third person so you can't really directly get insulted or anything.
