
Well hello thar Metal!
Yes, it's a fan game about Metal Sonic. Generic, no? Ah, but let me give you the run-down of the game.
The Battery:Metal's a robot, right? So I thought he had to have some sort of power source. I made him battery powered for lulz. This idea also allowed me to steal the battery mechanic from Chibi-Robo (look it up). Metal's battery slowly drains, and the more you use abilities, the more power you waste. Better moves drain the battery faster. Little batteries and/or battery monitors can be picked up for some restoration, and there will also be power stations to recharge. This is why I'm focusing more on exploring rather than speed (in a way), it'll give you the challenge of staying alive.
Features and Controls:Z: Jump
X (hold): Fly
C: Special move
Down + Z: Jet dash
Sheilds have been implemented successfully. However, it's only the normal sheild, not the S3&K sheilds.
Flying is useful, and slightly faster, but it drains the battery like hell. Use it sparringly.
Special moves will be different depending on the item equipped. They'll cost power and rings as well to work. More on that stuff when I get it nailed down. It'll probably be like Metroid in the sense of power-ups.

Well, that's pretty much it for now. One note, don;t comment on the "lack of graphics". It's just the mechanics tests so far, I'll work on art later.
Note: I'd love to give you all a demo (really, I would), but a glitchy mechanics engine with an unfinished engine is not something you give out.
