Spelling

Hello MFGG I want to discuss Spelling...
I have been on the forums and I see some
people who talk with out double checking their spelling..
I've seen people talk "liek dis plz"
I don't want to be a Geek about it but
just some times I can't make out what people
are saying, (If you have Firefox and you see
a word that is underlined in red then that means
it is spelled wrong or it is not in the Firefox's
dictionary...Right click the word underlined in red
and choose the correct spelling.)

I hate places with restrictions on posting style. If someone is posting incoherently, that's different, but let lazy folks be lazy and calm down.

I'm talking about where it gets to the point where you can't even understand them.

Oh, that's just eight-year-olds being on the internet too much. We usually don't let it last long on MFGG

I don't really mind, but when people intentionally do it and say it's because they're lazy it just makes me think their a nob.

Noob or nob?
Anyways you are right but the way I see it is
it makes them look like a "noob" then others like yourself
would think that they are a "noob"

I know my grammar hasn't been at its best. (neither has my spelling) but when school starts back up I will type with coution.

Is a nob the same as a noob?

is my grammar tolerable?

Capitalization is not important at all. There are several members who type in lowercase and you can still easily understand them.

Spelling and grammar are very important however. Without basic knowledge of sentence structure, many will have a difficult time trying to decipher your posts.

Basically, anything is acceptable as long as you can comprehend the main idea and point of the message.

You realize your topic states that you're referring to "grammar," yet the content is clearly referring to spelling?

Also, don't be such a spelling elitist, seriously. It's annoying.

I like how the topic is about grammar, yet you barely used punctuation and went on a very unorganized list.

Funny thing is, the OP lacks proper punctuation, capitalization, spelling and grammar in his post.

Now thats a valid point! I just can't stand when you seriously can't understand something you read.

Y'know, putting a space between each of your thoughts
kind of like this
and neglecting to use punctuation is bad grammar too.

Remember that I'm talking about spelling not capitals and commas all the time,
I know that I don't use the right punctuation all the time but I try.
