The only problems I could think of are that if they are left at their original hosts then people could abuse it by replacing it with a rather large page-breaking image, and if uploaded to the server...I think this one is obvious. --------------------

I'm a fakeadmin - no mod powers at all, I only have ACP access for doing things like adding stuff to the forums. Also, emergencies.

imo these are more relevant than country flags

EDIT: although those might work better as badges that members could add through their profile
