I would guess these are sketches, so yeah...

Some time back, I was working on a game called, "Super Paper Luigi." It would've been a SPM-type platformer based off of the Luigi's adventures during PM:TTYD. I actually got to an early engine and I did some sprites in PBW2 style, but I stopped it a few months ago (Remember Shell Shocked? No?).

However, I recently drew a little more for it and thought that maybe I could post them...

I redesigned some of his partners, plus I added a new one.

Also, these are the natives of the Pudding Isle.

Finally, here's three more: Crepe; the boss from Rumblebump Volcano; and an armored ant.

BTW, click on the thumbnails for full-view...

EDIT: For any interested parties, here are some "samples" of what I had started. They're not much more than an engine test and a short cutscene test, though:

You'll have to unzip it first, though.
Z is jump, and X is talk. Also, one of the characters says different things depending on how many consecutive bounces you can get. But don't get too many; it glitches!

Paint... That, and I drew the lines by hand.

BTW, the ROB thing is called GROM. Y'know, Greatest Robotic Operating Machine? 'Course, she calls herself the Girly Robotic Operating Machine, but there's not much of difference... I guess...

@Flamedragon, those guys are puddings... the bread kind...

Anyway, thanks for the comments!

Are you sure it's not "Get Revenge On Mario"?
As for the drawings, I really like the style. They're very good for Paint.

@Simoneister, yeah it's that, too. But not in this game. (References are okay, right? Maybe I should've asked Toodles before-hand...)

@Joe__Inky11, I don't remember if the story said Crepe was a giant, but the player might become suspicious too early if he was huge. I was thinking of gearing the game for people who had never played PM:TTYD or hadn't read Luigi's Adventures.

Thanks for the comments!

EDIT: Oh, when I said I drew the lines by hand, I meant I drew them on paper and scanned them in. I suck at mouse freehand drawing; just look at my avy...

I like 'em a lot. If you do revive this project, I'd love to see the whole thing look like these drawings. Also, I'd consider the GROM thing more of an homage than anything, so it's fine with me.

Feel like drawing good 'ol Toodles the Horse? Well, you might want a ref! And, because he's so photogenic, here's

Wow! More positive comments! Cool, and big thanks!

@Mechabowser, I would have smoothed it out more, but that would've taken all day, plus some of the next day.

@Toodles, yay! 8D

Oh yeah, BTW, I added a zip with two "samples" of the engine I had going. However, I'd likely ditch that engine if I ever restarted this.
