Drawing Competition #87, Back to School

Pessimist Saberie is pessimistic...
*sigh* Mine's a little late... but it's not too late...
It's Mario and Peach walking to school together. I drew Peach in an anime style, while drawing Mario in a cartoon style... I personally think it clashes... but oh well...
The uniforms are based off the top of my head. I personally like these uniforms if I had to wear them...
There are so many things that I wanted to draw for this subject. I wanted to draw Wario stuffing Luigi in a locker, A classroom full of the gang making goo goo eyes at the teacher Peach, and I also wanted to draw Mario peeking into the girl's locker room. But alas... I drew this insted....
I meant to have Peach's left arm (Our right) to be swinging the briefcase lightly, which is why her arm is sticking out a bit.
Oh well... there's always second place...

only thing is is that ashura used my idea before i could enter but is it still yoo late to enter i wuz thinkin of doin vivian.

@Saberie: That's cute. One noticable flaw though is Peach's fat neck, which gives her a manly look. The neck is different for both, men and women. A man's neck is very defined and can just be drawn using 2 straight lines. A woman's neck however should either be really small, or curved, to signify elegance and all the crap.

And I just noticed the 3rd place badge. I never saw a Top 5 minigame badge though

Hmm... good point. I was trying to make it look not too skinny, which is a common habit that I do. I'll try that next time.

And her body gets progressively smaller starting from her head and shoulders all the way down to her legs...

That's to signify that she is walking, but it appears very weird.
Another thing is the "backdrop". The road just stops in mid blue, which is very unnatural.

I actually was going to finish the background but though. "Meh screw it, this is good enough."

Color pencils are just as time consuming as Photoshop or other coloring programs. Trust me, I've spent hours color one picture.

This post honestly disgusts me. Colored pencils can be even more time consuming, if you use actualy good colored pencil like prisma colors. You can spend like 6-8 hours even on one picture with them.
EDIT: not saying that digital art is any less of art, or any less time consuming.

@Visionary & Htram: Sorry. In a way, yes it is time consuming (I've done enough school projects to know), but the colored pencils always come out weird with ugly white spots all over. It's just that a picture with neater coloring looks better than a non-so-neatly colored picture, which I feel gives off the illusion of more effort. It's not that I don't like colored pencils, it's just that I find them really untidy and they don't appeal to me.

May I ask what brand of pencils your using? Because I use prisma colors and I have yet find ugly white spots in my drawings.(if you require proof I will upload some pictures.)

I just use crayola, which I assume is like part crayon :P
But then again, I usually don't color my pictures. Under most circumstances, I leave them blank.
