Drawing Competition #87, Back to School

Yeah, They take just as much time, but the digital just looks a lot more smoother. Of course, I can't digital color if my life depended on it.

Are you new to digital coloring?

Remember, I was once new to it, and I really sucked at it. :p just practice.

Well, considering all she has to digital color is MS Paint and she refuses to get GIMP (actually, she refuses to even update IE 6), I'd say so.

Haha, I was like that. Nova pushed me to get PS7 and use that instead of OC 1.1, but I refused. I made up a lot of excuses (lol viruses) to prevent myself from getting it, but Nova still managed to convince me to get it by making counterexcuses. It was a really good migration; it's far better than OC 1.1. :p

Well, the only digital colouring program I have is... MS paint... And I don't know how to work photoshop and such...

I'm a woman, you can't convince stuff like this; I'll download it when I'm goddamn ready...

@SkullStory: I'm about 2% sure this wouldn't be allowed because I already posted a Peach drawing. In a drawing comp, your idea must be totally original from everyone elses. However, it's got a different outfit than mine does, so I think you might not get disqualified. Anyways, there's quite a few noticable flaws.

Very broad shoulders, hair isn't quite right (unless in her mad state, she looks like that), very small and pointy crown, are just a few innacuracies with Peach. Uhm....does she go to a "Death to Toads" School? That seems kinda funny. Anyways, I'd say pretty good.

EDIT: You should make it a size where it's clearly visible without having to open up a new page though.

I would've nagged at you. The thing is as long as the two pictures are not totally the same. Eg. If Skull colored his to have a red shirt, pink pants, then that's kinda like copying my idea, because my Peach consists of the same color arrangement.

However, his Peach has a tie and a collored shirt (however it's spelt), so our Peach's are technically 2 different ideas. Yours features Mario and Peach walking and talking, so that's totally different from mine. As long as the basic idea behind the picture is different, then it's legit. And note: I said 2%. That's not a typo :P

You should be able to see the differences between DarkZero's and my artstyles, but the coloring is pretty much the same.

I mean that little thumbnail. Make it a size that is easy to see. (this makes it easy for voting). I suggest photobucket. Make sure the picture doesn't link to anything.

Look at some previous pictures that were posted. Ashura's was fairly big.

And I'm not saying you'll get disqualified. You probably won't because my Peach is entirely different from yours. And I'm not talking art style. I'm talking uniform.

The only thing I find strange is that you made Peach look evil, which I assume is what caused the hair and crown to look so non-Peachy.

@Darkzero: The little wind-up thing in the back looks sorta strange, because you made it go inwards too much. Aside from that, that's pretty good drawing.

But it's in ink now, so it can't be fixed.

I don't think you necessarily have to. It's just a suggestion to make the creater of the Voting Topic's life easier. But yeah, I recommend anything that can reduce the size of your image.
