Pirates VS Ninjas, ANOTHER old debate

Biggest reason on the planet that Pirates are better than Ninjas.
Because that killed everything about Ninjas that was once cool.

Opinions.

Some people really like Naruto.

It does have quality moments for some parts...


And what about VegiTales? I didn't like that pirate crap they did. =/

well if you actually watched the episodes there was a "Silly Songs with Larry" that first introduced "the Pirates that don't do anything". They never appeared again until the movie.

Twas still crap.

See what Naruto and things like it have done is taken the original ideal of the ninja, turned it around, and throughly raped it.

What came out in the end was simple. Magicians and Wizards. These aren't ninajs anymore. They shouldn't call themselves ninjas. They are spell casting pansy wizards who should be going to Hogwarts, but wanna try to be cool so instead they call themselves Ninjas. Which they are not.

See when I was little, the ninja was cool and sleek, and most of all, real. They could run, climb, sneak, jump, hide, disguise, kill, do all sorts of crazy ass stuff that, in all truth, wasp ossible with years upon years of training. THAT was what made ninajs cool. That they where so deadly, yet where in the realm of possibility. And in fact, they did (and hell do) exist today. But these shows come and ruin that ideal.

Instead of some badass super sneaky super deadly slit your throat with a katana assassin, we got a bunch of jumpsuit wearing blond haired prissy boys who wave their hands around casting this and that for a few hours, then someone finally getting hit by something. And so the general, and cool, ideal of a ninja is ruined for many youngsters.


I've always prefered the pirate myself is because they're more like myself and much simpler to become really. You don't need years of training so to speak. Some sailing skills would be nice, some sword fighting could help, but all in all, they're bound to have a job on board the ship that you can handle. You can dirty, you can be filthy, no one cares.

And to add to it, theres a sort of community to a pirate life. Your ship, the crew, everyone knows each other, works together to complete the task. Sure lone wolfing it ninja style is neat, but I like the idea of being with a group of people I know, working for the same goal, helping each other out. And theres so many varieties too.


Not to mention, I can grow a mean pirate beard


So Pirates are my fave. That isn't to say Ninjas suck. I love ninjas too. But Pirates just have a bit of an edge for me.

There aren't real pirates anymore either.
Just thugs who go out on small boats with automated guns and rob cargo/cruise ships.

I hope time machines exist one day.
That way we can just take one hundred pirates and one hundred ninjas and put them in an area that gives advantages to both and have them fight to the death.

They won't cooperate. They will just do what Saberie said.

I hate Naruto greatly, but I just prefer Ninjas because pirates are boring to me. Who cares if Ninja are slightly limited. It's called be a free lance ninja. DUH!

Ninjas have to live by a strict code and train by that code to become strong. Pirates also have a code, but it is much more liberal, thus being free to strengthen themselves however they want, which gives them the ability to exel in some things that Ninjas could not do.
