Boss Ideas:


Giant ROB:
Shoot lasers and does that arm spin thing.

6 life, and you hit him by throwing microchips at him.(world 8)

Jr. Troopa:
It would be cool if you fought him oftenly, about 5 times throughout the game.
5 life, throw random objects that he throws at you. (worlds 1,3,5,7,and 8)



Flame Guy,Bubble Guy, and Elec Guy:
Fight them at the same time, while throwing them at eachother.
(example: only way to damage flameguy is by throwing bubble guy at him)
3 life each (in world 4)

Bomb-omb fleet:
Just a bunch of bomb-ombs, running around will kill them.
25 of them.(world 7)

First one: A giant robot boss like that could work, but it doesn't have to be ROB.

Second one: Fighting Bowser Jr. is okay, but each fight should be different, so not every single one of them centers arounds throwing things back at him.

Third one: I think that idea's pretty good, but there should be more strategy to it.

Fourth one: No offense, but that's not really a boss battle; it's an idea, through.

I think the final boss is a robot.

supposing bowser jr is used, he must be stronger and much more challenging to beat, seeing as he is normally extremely easy.

The third one sound somewhat like mega man meets mario. something along those lines could be cool just with different names and probably not shyguys since there is only so much you can do with shyguys.

And im with Blackcat on the last idea.



My idea for a boss is one whose head is usually under the surface and has 2 large arms which are exposed attack you. Once you kill the arms, you can go for the head. might be hard to program but...

K, we have the whole unlockable content for collecting gold mushrooms right? I was thinking htat for collecting all of them, you could unlock a boss rush mode. It would be cool to see people compairing their best times and such.

Another idea is to have special rooms where... well, I'll draw a picture to explain it.

K so, you see the yellow goomba? It has a golden mushroom. YOu have to get to it befor it falls off the cliff, otherwise, you missed your chance, at least until you go through the level again.

Since I missed today's meeting, let me post an idea for the boss rush mode:

Since there will probably be a lot of them, I think that the bosses should be fought in a random order, except for the final boss(es) which should be saved for last.

The Arena from Kirby Super Star/Ultra does this, and I like it a lot because otherwise the early bosses would get worn ragged while the later bosses would stay mostly fresh after playing through the mode many times.

Waluigi's special ability... I have an idea.

Seeing as how he is the thinnest, perhaps having him crawl through narrow spaces could be his ability. What Wario can't charge through, or the Mario Bros. scale, Waluigi can go under.

Just a thought.

I thought Waluigi was going to use bombs that would stun enemies from a distance?

The first post said undecided, so I went with that. I'm not suggesting that my idea is any better, but the bomb thing seems kinda pointless when most Mario enemies are really simple to beat anyhow.

Also, any idea what the boss of the desert level will be? Need to know for the tiles.

Also, the only reason I say the bomb is becuase, for the boss disguise guy, each bro uses their ability to take him on, and I had an idea for the use of bombs.


(also, I've been working on a Geno sheet and I was going to make crawling his ability)

I actually like Pucifur's thin Waluigi idea, that seems to make more sense to the character than bombs do. You can give anybody bombs, but only Waluigi is thin enough to make it through tight spaces.

As for Geno, it wouldn't be crawling exactly. He'd leave the doll (as his star form) and move forward (most likely pulling the doll with him)

I mean, I could probably rethink the battle plan to use him crawling, but since he's fighting a make shift Thwomp, it seems kinda odd that he'd crawl around.


Also, I'm posting a Golem design in the Concept section. I had planned on doing it a while ago but I kept forgetting.

Not necessarily crawl, but that could be one thing.

I'm thinking more like a Paper Mario think, where if you press a button you'll get in a position that makes you really thin, which you can use while standing and crouching.

How would going through a thin part in a wall work in a 2D game? It would look like he was just ghosting through the wall as, due to the angle, all you would see is a solid mass, and him magicaly drift into it.


Also, an idea I had. Glukom, are you still working on the Wario sheet? If so, it'd be cool if Paracite W wario had different animations that normal Wario. Like a more zombie like walk or something.
