Here is my idea for the ghost world

It takes place on a mountain top in the center of (or next to) the ice world, since Luigi is in this world while the others are in the ice world (keep them close by).

It has traditional ghost world staples like a forest, a grave yard, and a haunted house, but it takes place high up on an unforgiving mountain.

The ledge like area on the lower side is related to a mini boss I discussed with Guinea. It would be the spirit of a girl who died on the mountains and now spends eternity luring travelers with her sorrowful cries, followed by freezing them for all eternity. So a level there would probably have various ghosts of enemies with their bodies frozen in the background.

After that is a cave, which I think could be used in lots of ways ranging from flickering lights to an Indiana Jones spoof level fool of boney crones and ghostly baddies... and minecart chases???

You exit via a well and pop up infront of a spooky mansion. Too bad the front door is looked. Only way in is through the basement, which you can enter via the backyard. Then it's just a matter of serviving the tricks and traps of the ancient manor till you reach the top floor.

Kind of... creepy, for a Mario game.

If I was playing this I would find that horribly out of place - you have to make the punishment more cutesy and make the "evil ghost girl" something a lot less horror-movie-like

I was actually basing it off of the Pokemon Frosslass. Besides, plenty of the Wario Games had enemies frozen deep in the ice. Only difference is that this time, it's not nature that froze them, but a ghost.

And it doesn't actually have to say she died on the mountain or anything. It could say something like she used to live in the manor at the top or something less depressing.

Also, one thing you have to keep in mind is that Luigi is going through this world solo, so even if it seems to "scary" for a Mario game, Luigi's reaction to everything would be more than enough to bring it back.

It would be really nice to make him scared, especially making the floor sometimes creak, at which point luigi would make a sound effect/double-take. Maybe make another frost-based mini-boss inside. What about another sibling. It might make sense if also the girl, and if you make a sibling, are frozen in a block of ice somewhere in the house. If you find a way to melt this, they fly into the room, luigi then gets scared. Maybe they drop their tickets. Maybe all bosses should have hard to find tickets for their cards. Anywhere, where it could be something like this, or just hidden in their castles. I think it kinda makes it like their soul was frozen in their bodies, so they couldn't leave the house/area around it. It actually gives some kind of an explanation.

In response to the girl living (or rather not living) on top of the mountain:

There's a technique one could use to sweeten up the haunting tale of a ghost who lures unaware hikers to their frozen doom.

Make people in the area before that warn of a ghost or creature who performs the act of lure and freeze. The player has an idea that there's this menacing monster on the mountain. When they get to it, pull the 'ol bait and switch and woah it's a little girl. Comical! Luigi's relieved to see a girl, not a monster, but then jumps back in fear to see the girl try to freeze him!

Yeah, that's the idea I was going for. We could probably had Edd Vice tell Luigi the story of the monster.

I was think the ghost could look kinda seductive as well, to make Luigi get all heart eyed until he realises whats going on.

I'm going to be honest, I can't tell what half of that is.

I was picturing something more human like, almost seductive, to make it a bigger twist when the player sees that this is the "monster".

That's fine man. Mine's pretty terrible. I'd make yours ghost tail a lil' less tall though, looks more like a snake than a ghost, though that gives me an idea sorta.

Alright, although hte long tail is to imitate the idea of long legs.

You know, we should also have a shy guy chieftan at the end of the shy guy village sneaking levels as a boss. It helps balance out the paths mostly, so it's kinda the counterpart to cellossus. You make it past all the village and the only choice is to enter a tall house. Inside it winds up through several rooms, and finally, when you see the exit, the shy guy chieftan comes in. No matter how you attack, he'll block you with his spear. Even if he charges, he'll swing it up to hit you if you try to jump. So you have to dodge his attacks, he can charge you, summon other jungle shy guys/spear guys, move around, jump and do tons of different things. He'll throw his spear after a while, if it misses, he'll take a short second to notice, then quickly run to grab it before you hit him.

The girl gets angry at Luigi, the lips start getting bigger and bigger till they cover her face then the hair grows etc. For an attack it could grab Luigi and kiss him with its huge lips which freezes him into a block of ice and you'd need to keep pressing jump or something to get out of it. I dunno, I thought it would be typical Luigi fashion, him liking someone and then they're a big evil monster.

I just wanted to know.

Is there going to be fire flowers in this fangame, so you can turn into Fire Mario and Luigi.

And will the Wario bros. be able to also use fire flowers.

Okay, I'll probably put the text up here again in a minute. This crappily-drawn image does nothing but get the point accrossed, I probably could draw better, but this doesn't need good graphics to show the point. The top is with none of the levels beaten. The bottom is with all on the main part and one path beaten. The only thing this doesn't show is a town.

Here are some item ideas I had that you could purchase.
Cherry Soda- Refills 2 health points when you die (only for Mario and Luigi)
Garlic Juice- Refills 2 health points when you die (only for Wario and Waluigi)

Maybe a Item that temporally increases your maximum HP, like those red mushrooms in Super Mario Galaxy (forgot what they were called). There could be a gamble bag that randomly gives you a item when you use it? A red shell that targets the nearest enemy? There could be a super expensive one-left-in-stock mega glove that permanently increases your maximum "attack". The item could be held in a box at the top of the screen for one button access like in Super Mario World.

And maybe You'll be able to increase the stores inventory by finding special hidden items in certain stages and bringing them to the a store...I dunno, I'm just throwing some random ideals of from the top of my head.
