the boss

Yes, read again yourself. I intended it as THE boss of teh water world. Not a miniboss. And we agreed on having the final water boss being fought by both of them.

Now we switch reading places. THe final water boss a fight between Syrup and Gooper Blooper.

Mario and Wario fight her on her ship, then after a while, GB grabs them and holds them in the air. At that point, Luigi/Waluigi fight GB under water so he lets go, then it repeats.

That's what you INTENDED, but it's not what you're getting. Guinea, Ultramario and I agreed on the fight that SGG mentioned in the post just above mine.

This took place after you left DL.

Okay, well I was not updated on the situation, nor did I have any reference when making the suggestion.

I was thinking that for the level inside of Mawl, he could complain that he's been having stomach aches. Once you get inside his stomach (a large circle shaped room) you will notice 2 things.

A [?], and a large fish skeleton on the ground (made to look like scenery). Once you hit the block, the water in the "room" will drain and the skeleton will wake up and be very angry that you drained his new home, and thus starts the fight with Master Fishbo.

The fight starts as soon as the room fills back up with water. Along with wather entering Mawl's guts, another [?] will enter, along with an enemy or two. Now, before any actual fighting happens, Master Fishbo will slam into the stomach wall, causing Mawl to roll in pain, so now the whole room is spinning, along with the blocks (spinning, not rotating). It's pretty obvious but I'll say it anyways, oyu have to hit all the blocks and drain the room. When you do that, it will stop spinning and Fishbo and all his friends will be left high and dry. you can either throw an enemy at him or just jump on him.

After that, he will refill the room and it starts again, although no, he will either make it spin, or he will make Mawl thrash about wich will make the blocks bounce around like crazy, along with the enemies.

I think I've missed it somewhere in some topic, but who's Mawl?

I have an idea!

Sometime before the final battle, Bowser manages to make the midas machine turn Mario and the gang into gold. However, Waluigi doesn't get goldified, because of "Tennis is the only thing he's good for, so he wouldn't be a threat anyway", and then theres a Waluigi level where he seek for something to turn the Mario bros. and Wario back to normal again.

Well?

That seems like an unnecessary plot device. It also makes a part that happens later on make less sense.

Spoilers:
THe secret final boss can turn them into gold but they can break the gold curse, and that boss is waaay more powerful than the Midas Machine.

I just thoght of something. Maybe we can have options unlocked, which can change enemies to add difficulty to the normal levels, while in hard mode you have no choice, all of the hardest enemies occur normally. In the options you could for instance, change shy guys to fawful guys, but, they still drop the shy guy card.

If you go into the hard world, you could get a card that's fawful guy. Maybe, the card could unlock the option.

It might be cool if you get a lot to play through normal levels with harder enemies.

They could probably give more points though.

I think, as a way to unclude the Fawful guys, we chould have something along the lines of 100 trials.

It would be unlockable, and could contain any type of enemy.

Could we?

So something like a random battle generator? Sounds cool.

I also have an idea. After you unlock all the cards, you unlock a final level. Not a hard one or anything, but a "Thanks for playing" type level with toads and such cheering you on since, to get all the cards, you'd probably have found everything else.

After you beat a certain set of battles, you can unlock harder levels.

Each level has a cycle of 20ish rooms, but you only visit 5-10.

Also, sounds good.

Only problem I see with it is the fact that this isn't an RPG, so I could only see this working like in SPM, and that one got old pretty fast.

Then how about you can challenge enemies that you have either beaten before or have the card of.

You would fight three enemies at once. You would get coins depending on the difficulty of them (goombas would obviously not give you many)

Well, for the most part that sounds to easy. I mean, it's jsut jumping, although I guess it could work as long as they don't appear on the floor of a flat enmpty room. I mean, having them fall from warp pipes would help. Or time limits.

I am not the most creative person, but maybe poison mushrooms do not kill but have the "Touch Fuzzy, Get Dizzy" effect from YI?

That would be cool, buti n the story ALL mushrooms are turned to gold, so that would kill off any mushroom, even poison ones.

Sorry to double post but I wanted to get my idea separate.

K, here's my ideas for bonus characters and their special moves:

Wariocite- Dashes like Wario, but, unlike Wario, he doesn't stop. He goes on and on and on. This could be useful for a number of puzzles (I'll show some examples later.) Every enemy you hit will cause Piranhacite to change colors. He will go from purple to yellow to red, after he hits something as red, he will stop.

Geno- Goes from a duck to a slide. If he hits an enemy it will flip it. It will never kill an enemy. This will let you go under thin passages (like a horizontal Waluigi).

Peach- Floats using her umbrella. Can also catch updrafts.

Yoshi- Can ground pound. All this really does is break blocks below you. I guess if we have stars fly out, they could flip enemies they hit. He could also probably do a slight flutter jump (not as effective as in his games). Another idea I had was for him to use his tongue when you hit shift. When he hits an enemy, he will swallow and eggify them in one animation, then hold the egg like Mario would hold an enemy, so really, the only difference is It takes him a second longer to pick something up, which would be interesting seeing as how each character seems to have some flaws in how they play, so that could be his..

Examples

user posted image

~I think that after you beat the game (Bowser and Syrup ending, not the secret end) you should get a ring or something that lets you switch characters at any time. Why? Well, think about this, you slip through a small area as Waluigi, but oh no, whats this? THe room you entered only has 2 exits, one that takes you back above ground, and one behind a wall that only Wario can break! I guess we have to turn back, right? Nope, you switch to Wario and smashy smashy. This could make sure that the player won't finish with enough mushrooms during the first play through (so they get more replay value or something).

~Here's another idea that popped into my head. In Toad Town (the safe shop area) on building should have a mysterious area that can only be entered by the last character you unlock in the game. Once you enter it, you find yourself in an ultra secret final bonus level that's basically a recap of all the areas you've visited so far. A boss? Of course. What is it? Idk, I have some ideas for it, but I'd like to hear other peoples ideas. Spoilers:
My idea is to have the boss be Midas's Mind, the remains of Midas after you defeat her over the "Gold Hole".

Whats the point of this level? To test the players as in this level, switching between characters and knowing what to do is key. One tiny slip up will lead to a game over. But you do get something out of it. YOu get the hardest card to find in the game, the card of the boss, and if we do my "card= congrats to player" level idea, that that makes it all the sweeter of a victory.

~You meet Yedli in the jungle (before his fight) and he asks you to find him some bananas. THe level, instead of making you run to the end, requires you to find a certain number of bananas for him. (to get his card, you'd probably have to find a well hidden golden banana.)
