Some ideas I talked about with Guinea.

~Unlockable characters can have at least 2 special moves (none will be the same as the original 4).

~Geno slides could be his alt, along with geno whirl.

~"Thanks for Playing" level after all challenges are cleared.

QUOTE (Shyguy Grey @ May 11 2009, 12:30 PM)
I was thinking that for the level inside of Mawl, he could complain that he's been having stomach aches. Once you get inside his stomach (a large circle shaped room) you will notice 2 things.

A [?], and a large fish skeleton on the ground (made to look like scenery). Once you hit the block, the water in the "room" will drain and the skeleton will wake up and be very angry that you drained his new home, and thus starts the fight with Master Fishbo.

The fight starts as soon as the room fills back up with water. Along with wather entering Mawl's guts, another [?] will enter, along with an enemy or two. Now, before any actual fighting happens, Master Fishbo will slam into the stomach wall, causing Mawl to roll in pain, so now the whole room is spinning, along with the blocks (spinning, not rotating). It's pretty obvious but I'll say it anyways, oyu have to hit all the blocks and drain the room. When you do that, it will stop spinning and Fishbo and all his friends will be left high and dry. you can either throw an enemy at him or just jump on him.

After that, he will refill the room and it starts again, although no, he will either make it spin, or he will make Mawl thrash about wich will make the blocks bounce around like crazy, along with the enemies.

I think this idea's great.

About the touch fuzzy get dizzy thing.

Instead of giving the poison mushroom the ability, why not jusr add the fuzzy itself?

That might be a possibility since Yoshi's Island is an area in the game.

Heres a though. Certain cards, instead of having a 1up or something with them, will have their official art (mainly for main characters and bosses and any enemies that are drawn) that can later be viewed in a museum.

I agree with this idea!

K, my idea for the walrus is that he is in charge of his own little area and if you want to pass, you have to beat his challenge to earn his respect.

His name is Big King Walsrus and he has followers (I've been calling them Wallrers) that you use in the challenge. In his challenge, he will swim under water towards the finish line (with a pre set path) while you surf on a Waller towards the finish line as well (dodging obsticals an hitting boosts).

~A castle that is slowly sinking (most likely on the island area) into a bog. While inside, the water will slowly rise which in most cases wouldn't be a problem, but this water has a big bertha in it.

~ Whenever you fight Bowser or Syrup, they work in the same battle style.

Syrup works in the style of a normal enemy. You fight her by jumping, dashing (wario) throwing stuff, or anythingl ike that.

Bowser works like the heavy enemies that you toss.

This would make them work (in terms of battles) like advanced enemies which makes sense eince they comand over basic enemies.

~Bowser appears as a miniboss/the boss of the iceworld. You fight him on top of an icey lake or something. You beat him by picking him up (from behind) tossing him straight up (if you throw him to the side, he'ss just slide then get up. When he hits the ice, he stys on his back and you jump on his stomach to hurt him (and crack the ice most likely.

- I've got an idea for the Boss Rush mode. Maybe, between fights, you can choose to restore your health in a room containing five cherries (or whatever you use to replenish your health). That room would be persistent though (for example, if you use three cherries and beat the next boss, next time you go to that room, you'll only have two remaining). Also, if you manage to beat all of the bosses in this mode, you will get a portrait of the four bros. standing triumphantly over the defeated bosses.
- In the "Thanks For Playing" level, we could have a series of coins that spell out a congratulatory message, like" YOU ARE A SUPER PLAYER!", or something along those lines.

Actually, for the prize of boss rush, I was thinking you'd be awarded the characters card. I like the healing room idea though. YOu mean like with Kirby superstar right?

I think for the sinking castle the water should be poisonous, as in you die if you are in it too long. That would be best for yoshi's island world definatly.

That could work, but it would be more nerve racking to have a giant fish leaping out at you, or, falling in the water and franticly trying to get out as a giant mouth heads towards you.

That and, poison water sounds more fitting to zelda or something, not really Mario-y.

As Shyguy Grey Said, it just wouldn't be "Mario-y". nod.gif
The only way I think it could is adding the same affect the poison water gives you on N.S.M.B. (in N.S.M.B., touching poison water= automatic death rolleyes.gif).
But only the Lord knows I wouldn't want on yoshis Island for sure. nope.gif

Okay, no poison water. Makes most sense on yoshi's island if it's poisoned, but if it's not it doeesn't really matter.

~In the trial ruins, I think that the levels shouls be a bit larger than normal levels. When you enter one, it could take you to a "lobby" area (Like Toad Town in our game, but it's not always a town. These area could have people that can give you an idea of what you should prepare for, or just chat.

~Another idea I had for a level in the Trial Ruins is the "Clock Tower". This level is a tower made up of clocks of all shapes and sizes.

Random idea: In the congratulatory level have something like "You are a super player" or "Thanks for playing" spelled out in 3up moons.

Yeah, I really like teh clock tower. That could be a really huge level near the end of trial ruins. It would definatly be nice running through the clockwork.

Pretty much, this post is a reminder to Guinea about what we talked about involving the you know what. I feel you could bring the subject into full bloom.

The next few things I've talked over with Guinea and he seemed to like the ideas.

~ Sky level with Apollo Bill, a bullet bill that, according to legends pulls the sun across the skies. In this level you ride on top of him and avoid danger. The player can move left, right, up, or down freely, and can also do a mini ram (it doesn't send you flying forward very far) to pretect themselves.

~Ominous Bill- An underworld themed Banzai Bill that you fight while on Apollo Bill (you use Apollo's ram attack to knock smaller bullet bills back at Hades Banzai).

I think that was it.

(^SGG, I like those ideas)

I had an idea for a miniboss that I thought I'd resurrect here. It'd be at the end of one of the Industry-themed levels.

The boss battle would be against a mechanical Bowser. It would resemble Metal Bowser, only with glowing yellow eyes; and it would be controlled by a normal enemy(let's say a Hammer Bro). When you encounter it, its head would be lying on the floor in front of it, and the Hammer Bro's head would be peeking out of the machine's neckhole. When the Hammer Bro sees you, he smirks, and ducks inside the machine's interior. The Bowser picks up the head and slams it onto its vacant neckhole. Its eyes light up, and the fight begins.

At first, the boss would just breath fire and toss hammers(since it's a machine, it could breath fire in a blowtorch-like manner for an attack). Your attacks wouldn't hurt it. But eventually, while tossing hammers, it would throw a Bob-Omb at you instead; you'd have a few seconds to toss the Bob-Omb back at it before it blows up. You hit the head one or two times with this attack, and it flies off, revealing a dazed Hammer Bro underneath; you just jump on him. He gets steamed, slams the head back on. As the fight goes on, attacks would get more dangerous(one of the boss's arms could become a Bullet Bill cannon).

After the Hammer Bro is stomped three times, the machine's body explodes, sending the Hammer Bro flying through the roof/out a window and off into the distance. The head (lying on the floor) would crack open to reveal a Golden Mushroom.
