Mario Sluggers Signing, in Manhattan

Mr Charles Martinet asked me to get the word out to all the Mario Fans I can that he'll be siging copies of Mario Super Sluggers for those who buy them, Sunday August 24th from noon until 4pm at the Nintendo World Store in Manhattan. here is the actual convo:

Cmartinet: hey are you connected in the world of nintendo fans?
BlueGriffinXXIV: somewhat
BlueGriffinXXIV: i'm more connected to the Mario Fans but yeah
Cmartinet: I'm going to be at the Nintendo World Store on Sunday August 24th - this sunday- from 12 noon till 4 pm signing autographs for people who buy Mario Sluggers!
Cmartinet: well if you're connected to Mario fans, please do let as many know as you can

awhile back someone posted a short convo between themselves and him. I was skeptical so I decided to test out the screenname for myself. after awhile I decided that it could be an imposter. well I was contemplating ways to verify it when one day I asked what he was doing. He told me that he was searching for MP3s of Watto from Star Wars for an audition. being the star wars fan i am, I offered to help. well in 30mins I had 6 for him and he was greatful. because of that I had an idea I told him that I was planning on changing my Windows start up sound to something cooler and asked if he'd do a "hey this is Charles Martinet, your entering windos" kinda thing. I didn't ask for Mario because he could get in trouble if he did it without Nintendo's permission. he told me he could do Mario as long as I don't post it on the internet or sell it. I agreed and later that day I had the beginings of my Mario characters personal messages. long story short I've talked to him on and off ever since, even going so far as to call him in London on his birthday to wish him, many happy returns. I did so with his permission of course, and I will not be posting his cell number. but yeah, that's the skinny.

Huh, not a sluggers fan but how in the hell did he contact you.

how do you think I got his info? someone else posted a convo with his name. so i guess it's fairly public at this point, but I would ask that you all don't flood him with IMs. he's an incredibly sweet and down to earth guy who loves gardening and his niece.

I was gonna buy Sluggers anyway.

Can't go to Manhattan. :p
