Sonic Unleashed demos at the GCD play nicely

This is the entire first level of Sonic Unleashed, it seems pretty fun to me. This guy definitely played for his first time, as he made quite a few mistakes, but I only recall one pit of death mistake. The game seems speedy and cool, and I'm loving the graphics and art style as well. Also, notice at the end when Sonic hits the ring, a little bird-like character is next to him. New character confirm'd.

I like all the people walking in front of the screen.

I've never understood the charm of sonic games in general i mean the classic ones have great music , yes but all the gameplay involves is WOAH I'M GOING FAST TILL THE END OF THE SCREEN HOLY **** and sometimes i jump on robotnik



when i played sonic adventure it was really USE THE HOVERING DASH MOVE ON EVERYTHING THAT MOVES


these games never have any depth and have lame powers like going a bit faster or taking an extra hit before you lose all our rings

atleast with mario and megaman they have lots of great powers ups and it doesn't just involve I JUST PRESS RIGHT TO WIN THE GAME

Nintendo wanted nostalgic fans to also appreciate it, false. Hence some of the 2-D platforming tendency, and no serious change to gameplay. Sonic and the Black Night will probably address this.

I watched some of it, looks very Sonic Adventurey.

What i really like about this is the fact that it has more complex level design... not to mention it's a lot more forgiving than the "you didn't land on teh railz so u dai" junk we've been given for a long time...

I can't understand why they won't just go around. If they see someone playing a game and someone filming it, common sense would tell them to find another route to whatever unimportant place they need to be.

Also, yes, that is either a new character, or the Tails Doll's alter ego.

The graphics were really awesome, with the windmill and everything it reminded me of Delfino Isle (alias Super Mario Sunshine).

Anyways I have to agree with false to some point, I wouldn't want it to turn out to just be running left all the time with no real challenge like Sonic and the Magic Ring or whatever did.

Oh, and did you all notice that when that guy in the black left after standing there (followed by two more people), the person who was playing ended up missing a button command?

And yea, yet ANOTHER new Sonic character. From the comments, I guess that little pixie character is named Chip. I wonder how he fits into the storyline?

I think the bird is supposed to be a flicky

Anyway Rank S for falling down a pit and missing stuffs... Doesn't sound challenging. Either way I'm not too bothered. Wii port will probably be worse and it's still not the Sonic I grew up with so yeah.

I swear that little thing is Tails Doll's alter ego...

The camera has really good quality when recording a tv... wonder what kind they have...?
Another sonic charater... God, this is getting to be like a bad fanfiction. Still, this doesn't look like a COMPLETE flop from the previous games... maybe I'll get it.
