The height is alright.

You might increase the radius by one pixel (so it's 2 pixels wider in total) and move the sphere one pixel down. That way you'd keep the same height but added 2 to the width and it would be perfect.

I think I like the last one more.

The problems I had with it were rather minor in the first place anyway.

Got bored with Dangerous Duck, so I decided to start Syrup.



So far, based on her Wario Land Shake design.

Hm it's not bad, but it doesn't remind me of Syrup so much ... =(
Could also be that that's the fault of the WLShake design, so yea.

EDIT: Compared to the actual Syrup, the hair is too high/too much volume and not long enough. (the length might be because it's a WIP)

I added the old palette and fixed the hair, if it helps at all.

It's looking good, but something about the chin area bothers me. I can't really explain what it is, but it just seems odd to me.

Looks better with the long hair indeed.
However, I was talking about the distance from her head to the (top)-end of her hair, that's pretty high. I recall the bandana starting a few above of her eyes.

I want to fix it, but I don't know what to do... Could you elaborate a bit more?
If not, I'll just mess with the shading in the area around the chin and see if I can make it look better.

I'd say she needs a chin in general. Right now her head looks like a balloon.

I'm not sure how to do that, could you edit it to show me what you mean?

The ones on the right have more than the chin edited. Mainly shading and such. The biggest difference is that the eyes (mainly on the top one) are somewhat closed in the way she is usually seen in official art.

Also, the bandana is still too far away from her head. It is supposed to sit right on her head, not beyond a load of hair.
In your sprite, it looks like the bandana is way bigger than her actual head.

Actually, it's on the back of her head in her current design.

I like what you did with the eyes on the newest ones, but I can't decide what I like more, the top or bottom.
Do you mind if I use them? I'll give credit in the final sheet, of course.
