It's not bad. But for some reason your sprites look a bit dirty, like you're using much black/dark gray.

Some of the outlines look a bit edgy too. Sorry that I'm so late =(

In general it looks good to me, but I'm not as much a pro-spriter that I can tell you what is missing to match the style 100%.

Also, it would probably help if you posted a reference to the original enemy, since the "orange bird" is not that well-known.

But as said, in general it's good work.

Also, thanks for the original reference sprite. I see a huge difference between the two.
I have no problem with originality, personally, but a little more similar would be good.
