so then, I have 1 opinion. I seriously need more.

from top to bottom, the images get less scratchy. From left to right, they get more beaten up looking.

Opinions?

that jungle was really bad. sorry to hurt all your eyes with it. I was so asleep I hardly remember making it.

I tried to fix it a bit. something still bugs me about the dirt though.

It looks kind of dead

You should make the dirt less grainy and darker; jungles are full of life

@ Deaddude/Now Fez: The grass set has too much texture. Use a more cartoon-ish style.

@ Pucifur: HELL yes, the forest set you've made before was incredible, you have to make more.

The way I see it, tiles are all about dimension. Try to make your tiles look like they're a snapshot of a 3D shape. This is achieved through defined light sources; let the image cast shadows on itself.

Your tiles seem a little flat even though you did a fine job with texturing. I'll agree with Spritanium and say that the top-middle is best. The bricks pop out very nicely; I'd focus on giving the top and bottom layers a more defined shape. I suggest thickening your shading (exceed a one-pixel line).

I'd like to reiterate that you did a nice job with the bricks - now just apply your skill to the edges of the floor.

woah man, that is intense. It fits the style perfectly.

As for everyones comments, thanks, and I'll work on fixing it all up.

And sorry for stealing the jungle from you sprity, I was just seeing if I could do something to it. (not that I could really)
