So I'm guessing character customizattion will work just like Royale.

And HUE change feature is AWESOME.


Also, MB, if your sample game Jumpin' Sheep 2 is...well...."2", then that means someday there was a "1", too, right? Was it for MMF/2 or something?

First I made Jumpin' Sheeps which was just a very simple tech demo on how to do sheeps that jumps.
Then I gave it to Neo and he pimp'd it.

Me too, MTC. I'm probably not going to make anything with it, but I'll sure try. And all the awesome games should be seriously great.

Also do you think you could make visual novel games with MechaSource easily, ala Phoenix Wright? I know you can do anything, but would it be more difficult then the average platformer?

Again, you would have to make up the system yourself. It is certainly possible and I have a thousand ideas on how to do it, but for the average Joe I'm not quite sure it's that easy.

How possible is it that the SSB engine you talked about will be at launch?

And will we get new engines to use through updates?

THE SSB example will most likely appear at launch.

But we're not gonna make a hella lot of engines so that you can base all your games on these, the point of MechaSource is that you can be creative and make unique gameplay.

Will we be able to release character packs and that sort of thing based on other games?

For example, what if I made a TF Royale II modification to MFGG Royale 2? Would I be able to send the new levels and characters/weapons to the MechaSouce Base of Operations and have other people play it?

This sounds really cool. I'd love to see what the engine can do.

Royale II won't be opensource I'm afraid.

Anyways, MechaSource only provides tracking of scores etc.. If you need to transfer files to a database, you'll need to make your own for the game.
