Alot of the features in the old Lua extension didn't work, unfortunately. xLua has these features, plus more (that works, too!). It allows me to save the runtime variables directly to the object, and then retrieving them in the lua script. The old way I had to pause the runtime to get the different variables.

So yeah, generally faster. Though currently I'm just hard-converting it, which means no major changes. Once I'm done, I'll look into changing the runtime variable handling.

Yeah don't expect it coming out this week

while I'm posting I might as well tell that I'm working on some parts of the runtime engine. xLua has a few bugs that cause it to crash and I'm looking into that. Also developing on Portal (as seen in the CCC once in a while).

Currently having some issues with images that don't want to destroy themselves
for some reason

it lags games like Portal the hell out when containing alot of particles. HMM.
