Great! We'll them work with ragdolls-like characters, instead of "animations" like in MMF2, right? Because that way is far more easier (and generally much less glitcher) than in MMF2, not to count MMF2 had limited animations and some faulty animation speed.

I know it's kinda soon to say, but if I succeed on making a good EBA/Ouendan fangame, I could try using Royale's animation engine for the dancing sprites on the background (since I was planing that there were different dance styles for the player to choose, such as "Fighting Oundan" style, "Crusin' EBA" style, custom style and even downloadable ones. Who knows, there could even be a "Caramelldansen" based dance style! )

Also, not trying to make you bored, but what are your plans for Mechaudio, that Killer 7 thing and "CM3" (which apparently is Case Maker 3)?

And....you said they're COMMERCIAL plans sad.gif
Well, you didn't said that, but you replied to it. Anyway, those things are all going to be freeware, right? sad.gif

Killer 7 = The Royale. After we discovered something was already named that we renamed it.

...CM3 will probably not be out because the cr***s bore me.

And I was considering at one point into making Killer 7 commercial, but this plan was declined. It'll all be freeware.

That's right. MechaSource supports pixelshaders and this is one of them.


edit: PLEASE NOTE that The Royales character engine is and will most likely not appear public. This is because it's advanced coding and the tutorials are for beginners. Unfortunately if you want to make something equal you'll have to do it yourself, or use images. This is also to keep the personality of The Royale, because if everyone had this system The Royale wouldn't too special. Sorry if some got me wrong.

I understand. Actually, I even KNEW that woudn't get public for the same reasons. What I meant in that other post is that I would try doing and using the same animation and bodypart system like in Royale, not actually getting it's engine and putting right into my game. That is because EBA/Ouendan use some kind of ragdoll models that seems to dance according to the positions of the hitcircles on the screen, so it would be far easier to do bodyparts just like in Royale(not EXACTLY like Royale).

Yes, although that doesn't really have that much to do with pixelshaders, but yeah you could make a neat fire effect with them though.
Bloom effect is supported btw.

Oh and feel free and try to copy The Royale body system, I don't mind. It's just that I don't want them to appear in like 50 games.

Sorry but animated gifs won't be supported. However, it'll support alot of facial expressions and hand animations.

but what if we run into the whole problem with
"my video rive doesn't support pixel shaders!"

Then the pixelshader wouldn't show.
Anyways most graphiccards support pixelshaders, the only problem is the pixelshader version.
I doubt it'll be a major problem though.

Sprites and Ms paint Drawn Type things ( like royal style )

if i drew something in flash and threw it in there it will it work awesome?

MechaSource can only load the standard image files, which are bmp, png, gif, jpeg, jpg and all the other crap.

Flash will not work, however, I'm thinking about implending that for cutscenes and all the other stuff. I'll notify you if/when it happens, okay? The only problem I need to solve for that, is what I do to a person who does not have flash installed.
