Well after loading for about a minute or so it seems to work the way it should.

here's a fun thing you can try out

open up the "Visible Boxes" example. On line 14, replace that with

CODE
image:setImage(ms.avatar("MechaBowser"))

fun times! You can also try other names like "Neopolis" because he also has an account on the MechaSource Community (not yet released).

Okay, now whenever I run one of the examples MS crashes. (Except for the spinning image)

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but so far I'm kinda underwhelmed.

It's kind of hard to fix it if you aren't being specific.

Also here's another fun thing

when in a project (Project Editor Mode) you can select Tools->ConfigEditor in the header, which opens up ConfigEditor. ConfigEditor can manage achievements for the project (+ much more).

Okay

I'm running windows vista as an administrator, and I tried to run the visible boxes example. Mechasource then stopped working.

It's running much better after the update for some reason though, so idk.

There's a bug that causes the program to crash whenever you open project files

only happens about 1/3rd of the time

From my experiences, running it in windows xp compatibility mode stops it from crashing.

Ah, now it's working much better.

I guess MS doesn't work well with vista or something.

i would like to use the feedback system to report the error i just got but seeing as i got the error right after updating it, not allowing me to use the feedback system while i still have the error up, i will have to use this reply:

- After updating to the latest version, I clicked OK, it loaded, and all the sudden stdrt.exe crashed: looks like something to do with ntdll.dll, going to check if I can run MechaSource now.

EDIT: And I can run MechaSource now. Must have been an error in the update procedure that should probably be looked into.

It says "Cannot connect to internet", despite the internet working fine.

And then when I cancel there's a pop up that says " has stopped working" and it crashes.

in reference to your achievements example, you don't HAVE to use tostring() because lua automatically converts numbers to strings during concatenation

and tables even if they have a sensical __tostring metamethod defined
