It's the best tiling I think. 8x8 makes it useless, since you have to build them to normal tiles.

Yeah, In Game Maker, 8 x 8 makes it take a lot longer to tile the stages.

What I find easier is no gaps, cause then, I can grab whole things and stick 'em in.

Mine should be cut up into 8x8s as well

Would have saved one hell of a lot of space and would make it a lot easier for ROM hackers. All the NES and SNES Mario games have levels made up of 8x8 tiles.

But yeah, nobody really bothers with 8x8 in fangames. Hell, in my day people didn't even bother with real tilesets!

The bushes look like badly shaded spheres. They need a better texture.

Actually, I think that texture is a bad move here. It'd cut into the simplicity of style he has going.
