Favorite anime?

Anime refers to Japanese animation (although it can be considered the word for "cartoon" over there), whereas Avatar is, though fairly well done, American, and thus is not anime. Just like Kappa Mikey is not anime either.

And it's not discriminatory, it's the definition. For example, baseball is an American sport. Sure, Japan likes to play baseball, but it will never be the same.

It originated in England. Also, I think I heard that it was made in Asia. It would explain why Japan has their own name for baseball, and didn't japanize our word.(They got "yakyuu" instead of "beesubooru")

@Crashman: Anime Japanese is personally better to me. The dubs are just in English, but the English can be swapped around to mean something else other than the original japanese meaning. That's why I prefer original anime in japanese.

Yeah. It's anime but it's really crappy anime. But that's what makes it funny.

Oh yeah. Too bad it ended after like 15 episodes, though. I thought it was pretty cool.

Baseball is associated with America. Anime's origins (iirc) are the Disney cartoons, from America, but is associated with Japan. You see my point?

well It's just that Sonic X amd Pokemon is'nt alway's well liked. As a matter of fact more people seem to hate it. It just seems that I always get picked or made fun of. I know that's not always true but... Oh look, just forget it OK? Let's pretend none of this ever happened. Forget I said anything? Sorry! just forget it.

I actually like the Japanese Yu-Gi-Oh because the characters are pretty rad without being just plain stupid, and the music is completely badass. If you actually manage to quit *****ing over the fact that BAAWWWWWW THEYRE USING CARDS (better than watching people SWOON OVER EACH OTHER AT SCHOOL SO PLEASE SHUT THE HELL UP. RUCKY STALU~!) If you actually watch it, it's entertaining.

The dub is terrible, though. So is GX, but I didn't really need to say either of those.

Meh. I don't prefer GX. I mean "Game on" is the worst catchphrase ever.

Again, you are not watching what I am talking about. I do not like GX, nor do I like ****ty 4kids dubs.

Either way, I'm getting tired of the cards. It's always: "I got an evil plot to rule or destroy the world and the only thing that can stop me is a children's card game!"

I mean the Pokemon and Sonic X dubs were pretty good. The Kirby dub was so-so.

I just don't like how 4kids takes an anime that's aimed more at the 13-16 crowd, and then rapes it until it cries and decides to be for the 3-6 year olds.
One Piece was a fine example of that.
