Meh, I think it's alright. Alpha shots usually have loads of stuff that is not in the game or will be improved later. (And the shyguy there doesn't look so bad that people wouldn't play the game because of that)

When you say, about the project, doest that mean like why we're doing it, or what the actual game is about?

And we really don't have enough for a demo atm, unless we cut out the switching feature for Wario and Waluigi, which I have no clue how to do.

I could go through the current build and create a nice little exe for you guys, maybe even add a little text and music, convert it to gm7 for vista users, add an intro, ect.

But if I AM to do this, I'll need some help with the intro text, and the other stuff like that. Such as, the usual fangame "This is purely fangame and free not property of nintendo ... yadda yadda ..." stuff, and maybe a little background history thingy. Nothing special.

Who wants to help me out here?

Look in tiwinmage's PM engine. That's how I did the text for Sky Guy gone AWOL.

And I could add music, but I need original stuff or something.

Well I was thinking of making it feel professional, add some dialogue that tells you how things work, how the controls work, what's currently in the engine, ect.; But the game doesn't have enough stuff in it, that that may feel kinda weird (See: No sound affects.)

But honestly, at this point, I think it would be best that I just add in the intro text/mfgg links, a simple text file to go with the .exe, and that's all. Sound good?

Okay so I got a nice World Map Engine example thing going on, now all I need to do is add some text box's to the Platform engine level explaining what's in the current build. I should be done the afternoon.

I'm gonna be keeping the original testing level, just to prevent conflicts between pictures on the booth and stuff. After I'm done I'll get some pics, maybe make a movie on youtube, and help Noone with the site.

Bada-boom we're done and we don't have to worry about it any more.


But seriously, why haven't you guys been as active? I'd love to see this in NCFC, hence why I'm working so hard on it right now.

Don't forget to take out the ability to switch to waroi and Waluigi since they have Mario's sprites.

And I've been plenty active, just waiting for others to be active.

I'm kinda surprised that Guinea hasn't been in uber-extreme control mode like he always is.


Also DJ, I'm gonna have to ask you to hold off on the music for now, it wouldn't really feel right considering that I have no sound affects to deal with.

For one, I'm busy with my own project which I've given less priority than the CFP in the past, and for the other I have seen that you are doing this, and I guess that's alright.

When you mess up, we still have old versions of the engine, so I don't think this is a problem, whatever you do.


However, may I ask what you meant by "worldmap engine example"?
Just because: there's a worldmap engine in the engine already, so I was wondering.

Just because: there's a worldmap engine in the engine already, so I was wondering.

Just shows off the basics of what the map engine is capable of doing. It's basically the same thing as what's in the example, I just added some text in with it.

I was experimenting with it to see if you guys added anything cool, the ability to overlap paths was kinda neat. Dunno if that was intentional or not, but it kinda impressed me.

In fact, basically everything is extremely well done, the code was easy to read, yet complex. I learned a lot of cool things by simply reading the block coding alone. Good job guys.
