Super Mario Bros. 2 (J) moment - Sketch, Warning: large pictures...

WUMBO Group: Members Posts: 389 Member No.: 5637 Joined: 18-August 08 Status: (0d)	Just a little something to illustrate what I sometimes think of the difficulty of Super Mario Bros 2 (Japanese) .... as well as basic drawings of some Super Mario Bros. enemies. There was supposed to be a flag in the picture, but I couldn't make it out in the sketch so I left it out... Sorry about Mario's awkward pose, I'm not good at drawing him at that angle... Also... you can see through the page in the original sketch, perhaps Caped Mario and something else? Oh well, I might post them later... I love the hand drawn, but the mspaint one looks horrible (no offense). Just keep it hand drawn.

Sketches aren't bad. Some good be refined a bit but in all this is nice.

For example, Luigi has both thumbs facing right. How often do you see people run like that? Mario's left hand also seems to be facing the wrong way with the back of the hand facing the screen. How often do people shoot fireballs like that? You seem to have pillowshaded the characters, but that's understandable, considering a source of light (the fire) is there. The pictures look great. The MS Painting....not so much. OH! By the way: A sketcher IS a graphics artist. Yes, I have trouble with hands, for sure. I need to watch that in later sketches.
And yes, I did mean to pillowshade due to the fireball.
