Yes, assuming they also consider freedom to be something positive to be striven toward. Because license to do what one pleases should not be striven toward at all.

Most people desire to do certain things that are destructive to others or to society in some way. The more license is given, the more those people will do whatever immoral things they want to do, and the more society will be wrecked.

Even if "as long as you do it to yourself, it's fine" were an ethically sound idea (which it really isn't due partly to factors such as setting examples for others), she's not the only one involved; she's asking other people to engage in the same activities with her. So that argument doesn't really justify this.

Nope, pretty sure freedom in the proper sense means being unaffected by coercion that infringes upon one's rights.

By your definition, it would probably be interpreted as a "lack of freedom" when people take preventative measures to keep burglars out of houses, because the poor, oppressed burglars are not being allowed to act as they please. According to that definition, wouldn't "freedom" require that burglars only be punished after they've already done the deed?

And people shouldn't degrade themselves because when people are degraded, whether through their own agency or otherwise, the general grade of society goes down just that much, and examples may be set for other members of society, thus continuing the process of degradation.

If a pop culture icon behaves disgracefully, and that person's fans all know about it, chances are they might not have a problem with doing it too because their idol did it. The popular person would be leading them down, even though he or she would not have been degrading anyone else originally.

Women choose to be strippers. That's legal. Lap dances are legal. They made that choice and it empowers them. How is taking it one step further illegal?

For that matter, why is alimony legal but prostitution is not? They're one in the same: you're paying the woman to leave.

Well, if I were in college, I'd be pretty pissed about this girl who just *****s herself off to get into the same thing I spent years saving for, so I guess the whole taking easy way out thing is bad to other people.

what's so bad about it? just because you're jealous of her method? that's not a very good reason to condemn it.

Freedom is being allowed to do whatever you want without any concequence, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else.
