Cover Art

For the one or two of you interested who probably don't check my site very often, you might be wondering why the cover says "Episode 5" and not "Volume 2". I won't bore anyone with details, so I'll just say that it's been over two years since the first book was released and it's pretty bad that Volume 2's been in and out of development hell since I first started on it. The ultimate decision was to release standalone books.

Considering how large Episode 5 will be anyway, I think that was the better alternative. There will still be extras and other little comics tossed into the back of the book as well.

If you have no idea what the hell I'm talking about, this is the first cover, save some minor changes that were made in post-production. The first volume is on sale at Amazon and on my Lulu page, which can be accessed directly through my site. I'll be breaking Volume 1 into smaller, more digestable books in the coming months.

As for personal critique, there are a couple of things I noticed that were off WAY after I finished everything (Carlton's head looking somewhat awkward [Carlton is the guy on the left], his pants extending out beyond his waist, and even minor things like the RyuFox head for the Project RyuFox logo being off-center). I'll try to fix what can reasonably be fixed without having to overhaul any of the image, but for the most part, this is a final product.

Actually, what I'm going to do is just release the episodes for Volume 2 (Episodes 5 through 8) as separate episodes and then make an actual Volume 2 once I have all of the episodes done.

But yeah, to save time and money at the jump on releases, I'm doing single episodes from now on. Maaaaaaaybe there'll be two episodes in one book or just a really long episode for arc finales, etc.

Now that is awesome. Full of eye candy and delicious health-recovering soda. Can't get any better!

There's only one beef I have.

Did you draw a guideline for the head of the left character? Becuase the hair seems unconnected and the head appears flat.

Only thing that bothers me is the back of the head. Other than that, it's really well rendered.

Yeah, the back of the head is one slipup that really bothered me when FuPoo pointed it out to me on dA.

I just kind of did what felt natural, but it came out looking really weird in post-prod.

At any rate, that's one of the smaller fixes, so I'll attempt to hammer it out.

I fixed the back of Carlton's hair, as it looked as though someone beat him in the back of the head wit ha sledgehammer (it's not as if he doesn't deserve it though, haha).

I also added some drop shadow to Larry and the other text and slightly moved a few things around.

his neck is still positioned too far to the left compared to the body

tbh, I kind of don't see it :\

Correction: Okay, I can kind of see it now, but I think I can fix it. It's not an especially big thing to change.

I think that it would look better if the eyes were smaller, but that's more of a style thing so its really up to you.
