What the ****.

Something weird as **** just happened.


The phone rang. When I answered it, some girl was calling, and wanted to speak to me. She expected to know who I was, but I didn't. From what she was saying (I couldn't make it out very well), it sounded to me like she had called the wrong number and thought I was her boyfriend.

But no, apparently she wanted Grant Herring. She also knew where I worked (in the kitchen at the pizza place up the street). She said she wanted to come over (or me to go over there? I don't quite remember). She also said she thought it was "hot" that I looked like Napoleon Dynamite (which many people have told me I do).

Trouble is, I have NO idea who this girl was. None. No point in saying her name here, but I'd never met someone with that particular name. She said that I'd met her while walking back from work 2 days or so ago, and that I'd told her I worked in the kitchen at the pizza place and then given her my phone number. I did NOT stop to talk to anyone on the way back from work at ANY time in the past week, and common sense would have prevented me from giving out my parents' phone number to some random girl (obviously my parents would have asked questions).

The entire conversation was extremely awkward, and I probably looked like a complete fool. But what could I have done? I was so confused that I was starting to question my own memory. I hadn't the slightest idea what the **** was up.

So here are the odd things I can remember:

(1) Never met someone with that name.
(2) I did not talk to any girl on the way home from work 2 days ago. No way I could forget something like that.
(3) I would not give out my parents' phone number to a random girl.
(4) NO GIRL ALIVE would think I'm "hot" or want to hang out with me like that. I'm ugly as sin and I know it.


My best guess in all this is that it was some girl from work pranking me. It's certainly possible, since my parents' phone number (I don't have a phone of my own) is posted on the wall of the kitchen so I can be called by management. Her name sounds like something easy to think up as well.

But even if it was something like that, I'm still freaked out. Nothing like this ever happened to me before.

Note that meeting her (regardless of who she really was) was entirely out of the question all along because (1) the incident freaked me out way too much, and it could theoretically have been dangerous to have met with her, and (2) my family's here, and I'd have to ask my mom and dad anyway even if I did.

So comments of a sort like "WOW YOU LOSER YOU PASSED THIS UP???" are not required.

Most likely its a prank, and if you think someone is pulling your leg say something to them at work.

If it is someone at work, I have no idea who it is.

If someone says that it's "hot" to look like Naepolean Dynamite, I think it's a pretty obvious joke.
