If you read the review of the meeting you missed, you'd know he has a mini boss battle (Paranhacite W) and h then returns as an actual boss (Paranhacite YK)

Instead of having the parasite as a hat, why not make it sprout from the head instead.

Not trying to say your idea with the helet is bad, but I think it would suit the plant better if it sprouted out of the enemies head, then when you press the pick up button multiple times, the player would then pull it out if the enimies head, then you could attack. The parasite would hve two legs that would eventually allow it to climb back on the host. I remember you made that pirahnah plant sprite a while ago that would stand on it's hind legs and blow some thing in the air. The parasite could have those types of legs when it is removed from the host.

Also I think the animation of the payer picking out at sprout would look a whole lot beter than a helmet.

But htat isn't how it would work. I mean, the thing takes over Wario as well and it's as big as his head. It wouldn't work.

It wouldn't require rope physics, the most it could do is act like a hook shot, like from Legend of Zelda. All it would do is pull the player up to the place where the tounge landed in the direction it was shot.

Still, one of the reasons why the original CFP has failed was because of people constantly wanting to add gimmicks to it.
We should instead focus on a simplier gameplay and focus on finishing the game.

Sounds good.

I promise you, if we finish CFP2, we will have wacky things like that in CFP3.
Why can I promise this? Because then we will write an engine that supports these kinds of things.

Wouldn't this still kinda be CFP1? I mean, if you think about it, all we did was take a long break and change some ideas. The basics are still here. It's just weird to call this 2 since there wasn't really a 1.

gotta focus on the gameplay, don't add gimmicks until it feels necessary. most large community projects fail because everybody thinks large group == huge awesome epic game. that's not true, you have to work together and get the job done as a team. adding in extra gimmicks will just slow down the production of the game until it gets scrapped, and we don't want that to happen again do we?
