I just had an awesome idea looking at the head. Maybe, if you have sand on the ground, he can hide underground and disguise himself as a pillar. Then you would have to ground pound him.

Only thing is that, if he is used, I think he should have a more "wide" look. In that example, I mage his arm (facing us) bent in too much. It should be more relaxed.

i had an idea a long time ago for a boss in a game i was making but it never worked out.

Koobot

A giant mechanical Koopa Troopa on all four legs, with a cockpit on top of his green riveted metal shell. A koopa scientist with thick glasses and a lab coat is at the controls. He walks really slow and spits bob-ombs out at you. You have to grab them and throw them back into his mouth. Three explosions kill him, it'd be one of the first bosses as he's fairly easy to beat. With each explosion he starts to smoke more and more, because the circuitry is being damaged within. After the second explosion, his movements vary from walking slowly and mechanically towards Mario (or whomever you play as) to slowly standing up on his two feet and spitting bob-ombs into the air, only to have them fall in a random order and you must avoid them. Once you defeat him, the scientist puts on a jet pack and flees the scene. It could be in a laboratory or something.
