You can always do stuff.
Design levels, design the midas machine, design situations, draw whatever goes through your mind and fits. None of the concepts in here have been decided upon, so you can even draw things that have already been drawn.

That's it. I get a pretty good idea about the initial plot itself, so I'll be ilustrating it so it can get easier to understand (or eventually turning into an Slideshow-style intro cutscene, depending on how people like it, maybe? ;D). I'll post it here when I get done.

I might aswell end up explaining something that actually is not in the official plot, so correct me if I'm wrong.

What is the number on the right? The lives or the health?
Anyway, where did you plan to put that on the screen?
Left, right, center?

If it's in the center, the coin and life (?) counter should be oriented towards the top of the (M), if it's on the left then the coins should move to the right and if it's on the left the life(?) should go to the left, IMO.

That the lives. If you look up a bit, you'll see that the M is the health.

Also, I'd say flip it and put it in the top left.


@Wolfgator- Yours is nice, but doesn't look very Marioy. It looks like a shooter.

The boss is called something along the lines of 'Pirahna conductor.' In panel 1 is the death sequence. After 3 hits a huge pirahna plant will emerge from the pipe the conductor is standing on and swallow him whole. Panel 2 just depicts a rough idea for the stage layout. Panel 3 shows one of the attacks the conductor will use. In this one, he will start waving his conducting baton and pirahna plants will emerge from the pipes in sequence, from left to right(the sequence can be changed after each hit for added difficulty). In panel 4 is the attack which will let you hurt him. A target will appear on your character and will follow you around for a bit until it becomes still, a few seconds after that the conductor will throw a pirahna bud at the target. When the bud hits the ground it will grow into a pirahna stalk which you can climb to jump on the conductors head(the pirahna vine's head will hurt you if touched). In panel 5 is a depiction of one of his other attacks. It works the same as the attack in panel 4, except he will throw a SMW pirahna plant at the target, and the pirahna plant will keep moving until it goes off-screen.


Here's my idea for one of the first bosses/mini-bosses.
