I only use my wii for VC games these days as I haven't been buying alotta new games recently.

least not ones that aren't 360 or PC(steam)...

It worked for a while and then it went "nah too much work being a functional piece of hardware i'm going to malfunction some more". If you mean a modchip, no, he didn't. As far as I know, Lightning is the only one that knows of someone with a modchip on their Wii in real life, and I'm currently working on getting one for my Wii.
