I got a terrible one when I was 13. My parents were still asleep so I tried to fix myself some eggs for breakfast. Things were going smoothly until I tried to pick the pan handle up. My wrist touched the lower part of the handle, where it was hottest and I had a painful burn for two days. Luckily, the skin peeled off and it was alright then.

Being that my hobby has to do with working on electronics and game systems. I have more than once felt the end of a hot soldering iron. Not on purpose of course. And now it don't bother me as much if it happens.
