I'm learning C++ and other programming languages in the course of me studies. And it's planned to advance really quick in the general understanding of those languages, so I suppose I could help out with C++ tutorials later.. but we're not yet at that point.

so would I do {{lua}} or {{MechaSource}}? Considering that MechaSource has alot of function lua is missing, along with alot of syntaxes.

{{MechaSource}}, because you'll have MechaSource tutorials as opposed to Lua ones. Though you might want to reference Lua if they are similar.

the gm vs mmf rift is pathetic enough, now let's start adding even more fanboys and we'll end up with gm vs mmf vs c++ vs c# vs pure c vs java vs python vs lua vs vb vs stencyl vs actionscript, etc

to be fair anyone who's educated enough in C++ to be able to make a decent arguement about how it's better than other languages would probably also know where other languages would be superior

it's not really the same deal with GM and MMF2 because you can see the differences almost instantly. And both have obvious limitations and flaws.

I can see things like Flash/Java/VB being shot down but at the same time I can't see that many people using them as a main programming language

Also going to point out that reverse engineering ROMs and modding and stuff is cool too.

As long as there aren't any links to ROMs posted I have no issues with guides helping people understand how to do ROM hacking. The fangaming community has always been somewhat close to the ROM hacking community, since they both share sprites and stuff. And ROM hacks can be considered fangames in their own right too.

Just throwing that out there.
