Brawl Tournament, anyone interested?

After not touching my wii for months, I've decided to kick some life into the Wii scene and host a Brawl tournament. The matches will be 1 vs 1 on random maps though I still haven't decided on whether or not there will be items featured so I'll leave it up to you all to decide. If we have a large amount of players in the tournament, I'll up the stakes and provide a cool prize to you all, my leftover copy of Half Life 2 and HL2: Episode one (perfect for a holiday gift if you already own the game ). So any thoughts?

We tried two and they faded away due to some people not being able to commit.

But I'd love to try one more time.

I too, haven't touched Brawl for months. But I'm ready to give it another try.

I would love to enter a Brawl tournament, but I'm a little skeptical about how this is going to work, since most other online tournaments I've seen have failed.

you guys should try it theres only 27 players in the singles ladder atm and 11 teams on the doubles. (me and Starman Deluxe are a team on it - (team All Your Stock)

They don't have to be completed in one night you know. Verse your opponent, pm topic creator the results.

It's a shame that none of these work. If only they did.

That's what I was thinking of doing, I don't want the tournament to be finished in a day that's for sure. Everyone has different schedules and for this tournament I want to make sure everyone has the chance to play without anyone missing out due to scheduling issues. Here's my idea:
Each round would take place over a week's time, giving people enough time to plan their fights and pm me the results. After that week is over, round 2 begins and whoever decides not to play I go ahead without them. And the process begins again for the next few rounds until a final winner is decided. Hows that idea?

Actually, many tournament are completed in one night. The problem is that many people can't seem to keep or remember their promises.

But if anything, I just want to fight some people on my friend list other than the same 3 people.

This is really the first I'm able to enter since I got Wi-fi. Hey, why not? I see players who have kicked my can, but that's no reason to say I haven't improved!

Guess there is a big interest in doing a tournament... What I'll do is let this topic go on for a little longer for people to sign up and then I'll work on a bracket and provide dates for the tournament.
