Well, to be considerate, Nintendo's SML engine had many differences from the NES/SNES games engines, most of these made due to those being too complex for the Gameboy. If we can remake the SNES games' engines, which were too complex for SML, why can't we redo SML's?

That's not what he said. He said that we can recreate the Mario Engines for the SNES in MMF2. The Engine for SML was much simpler, so why can't we recreate SML's Engine?

Quoting old post to say that it'd take forever to convert GML to MMF2 because they both work in very different ways, and it'd seem pointless compared to the results.
