So those 5 new mods on Steam

were these for some kind of promotion or did i miss something

actually Valve is testing something to see if they can host HL2 Mods on steam and can distribute them to a client user.

The only worthwhile mod I've come across that I've played a lot is Goldeneye: Source. And yes Mikau, they're free, as long as you have Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike: Source, or Day of Defeat: Source.

then inform me of how you're able to play it without the actual game to actually mod it

i love how i already have three of those mods installed yet they still want me to install them

Synergy is all I can think of for now, and Zombie Master (not Panic, ZM is better).

Age of chivalry looks neat

But **** no games are playable >:[

Zombie Panic and Chivalry both suck, I tried them.

Don't care about the other 3.

I kind of liked Chivalry, but all the servers lagged like hell for some reason.

Insurgency was fun though.

edit: I may try Zombie Panic tonight, but I'll try Synergy and D.I.P.R.I.P before that!

I think Zombie Panic is a load of fun because of the people, not so much the game. It's the only game I've played where almost everyone has a mic.

I don't know why I don't like Zombie Panic. The idea itself is ****ing awesome. The weapons, especially melee, are ****ing awesome. Even the players are great, but...I just can't stand it.

Though I haven't played it recently, ZP for HL1 was awesome because of the custom maps where you actually had to finish the map to win.

Synergy actually isn't doing great right now. All they do are the HL2 maps, and this one map with a bunch of Striders that seems impossible

I remember this one map, where you were in a haunted house, real creepy, you solved puzzles, and at the end you fought this orb ghost thing. Another map was this big thing where you were supposed to find a jeep or something, you'd go up a hill, and BOSS BATTLE with gargantuas or something, they were from HL1.
