Information:

A Zelda Game I was working on for some time, I'm trying to finish it now.
I don't have much Info at the moment, other than the Engine it's almost complete and I just need a story and design levels/maps.(I'll fix the sprite mix later)
Also, the Demo it's old, I've fixed many things and added new ones, I'll post an updated Demo as soon as I can.
Demo:Really Old(Which Means, it doesn't look like the pics):Demo
Controls for the Demo:
X:Roll,Talk,If standing in front of Bush or pot hold it and press the opposite key, if up hold X and Press down to pick up, X again to Throw,Open Chest...
Z:Use Selected Sword.(Hold & Release To Do Sword Spin)
C:Use Selected Item
V:Use Selected Item
B:Use Selected Item

You really need to improve the sword, because it's the most important part of Zelda, and you kinda screwed it up.

Elsewise it's nice. Nothing extrodinary, though.

Even for the demo being old, it has quite a large amount of useful and simple functions that I really like.

Oh, you mean the position of the object/sprite? If so, It's fixed.

so I'm gonna post my stuff here since the other got locked


First thing you'll notice when launching this game
is the horrible sprites and how they clash awfully.

Now I do realize some are just fillers, but the crawling sprite is horrible. It doesn't even fit the perspective.
Second thing you'll notice is the high-pitch music. Obviously MIDI. I think you'd go use mp3s or oggs instead because this MIDI is awful
and so are MIDIs in general.
Then when I tried to climb the ladder it asked me to "grab" and when I did, I got stuck. Appearently some glitch that forced me to reboot.
The boomerang is nicely programmed, however, rather useless as it doesn't have any kind of effect on any enemies.
You STILL didn't solve the sword problem I adressed a month ago even though you said you had fixed it, so now I'm gonna show everyone how it looks so you can get bad critism and it'll force you to fix it because it looks horrible

I can't go through it. Bug or not, I can throw my boomerang through it, but I don't accomplish much doing that. And then you pull off one of the most common errors ever

and that's it. It looks promising but you need to pull off an actual demo (not just an engine test) before this gets my interest. Nice job though.

Now don't ignore this review and take it seriously, because if you just ignore it you'll keep making these flaws and flaws were never good
The excuse it being a demo/engine test isn't any. This is what you're showing to the public, this is the expectations they'll get. You can dethermine yourself if that's good or bad.

That's what I get for posting the demo and not all the posts that I posted in the other forum >.<
The crawling sprite it's just there to be there, unless you wanted me to add another square, I just wanted to make sure the sprite changed when moving while crawling so it worked.
The cave, you have to crawl to go through it.
I don't know if I posted in the other topic that got locked but this was gonna be in LTTP style and then switched to GB and so on, therefor not all sprites have been fixed and it will changed to a costume style which DarkLink45 is working on.
I know, the BG song it's awful >.< couldn't find any other better, was just to test the object which controls music and some other stuff.
The part when it told you to grab, don't pay that much attention, sometimes it will tell you that you can crawl but you can't, I'm still working on it.
THE SWORD! lol I did fixed it, but since I changed it to link to LTTP I changed the y's and x's of the sprites so now I have to changed it back, sorry about that.
Bomb, that was a last minute addition, I'll just have to check if link is standing in it or not and then make it create a bomb, no problem.
The boomerang going through the cave will be fixed, just have to make a collision event, and what you meant with "And then you pull off one of the most common errors ever"?
I'll go fix all this right now, thanks for writing down everything...I try to see what's wrong but sometimes I can't, so it's good that someone took the time, Thanks! ^.^

You know, it's nice to see members who don't freak out when someone tries to give them constructive criticism. Shows how mature you are.

basically, you added an overlay so that objects will be below that overlay, however, the boomerang is half-way visible as an effect of that.

Stick the Handle completely in his hand. It looks like he is holding the edge. Also, make the Blade Skinnier, it's too fat. XD
