Minigame Competition # 40, I am so lonely

Sweet idea comes to my mind.

Count me and Yak in! I'll try to end the game this month lol

I almost forgot my idea none of you may steal!

Idea - Murder Mansion (or something)
Luigi and a bunch of his friends decide to enter a spooky home on a dark midnight. Upon entering, they soon begin to search the house in every direction possible. Luigi, too cowardly to search, stays behind in the Lobby. Not more than 5 minutes later, Luigi suddenly hears everyone scream. Luigi must now search for what has happened.

Oh, and for people who complain about the theme: be creative!

Loneliness has many possibilities.
Shooter: A man walks into a house with a gun for protection and begins shooting things.

RPG: An RPG is a Roll-Playing Game. It doesn't have to be Level Up, etc. This opens up a murder mystery possibility.

Beat-Em-Up: Cowardly boy walks through a graveyard. Everytime he steps on something (like a rake), he freaks out and you can begin to pound on the rake.

I already have an idea...

But I would like to team up with some Python programmer - my skills are not so good...

So this is our idea (Mostly Yak's, I just tweaked it!):

No name game involing Raphael Raven:

You know, living on a space palace must be boring for Raph, he feels very alone, because when Yoshi beated him, all the other ravens abandoned Raph, so he will seek revenge! He will go get that Yoshi and get his revenge!... But many things happen on this journey!


It works?

Yak is going to help me with ideas and sprites, and I'm doing the main programming!

Can we use an inanimate object freind?

Like companion cube?

Your Shy Guy game had the lonely feel, so I don't see why you can't make that feel again

I lack the intended skills but if somebody whats to team up, i'm a good spriter and have an idea for a game!

You can't be serious. If I had a facepalm image the size of Earth times 5, it still wouldn't feel like enough. What do you want? A Goomba competition? A Toad (any, not just the titular Toad character) competition? Or perhaps a Any-Mario-Character-You-Want compo?

Btw, I'm thinking about entering this. coughpointandclickcough

NICKtendo's game for the last compo felt really lonely to me... That is, until he added all the medi guys. I dunno why, it was just something about the whole thing that felt lonesome.

@LocoRoo: People have apparently become so used to character competitions that when a really good Halloween-idea is thrown at them, they don't know what to do. Character competitions provided fewer options, bu the Lonely theme is MUCH more diverse than a Shy Guy theme.

I can name more ideas for this one than last competition. And if you people are that lazy, do something simple.

Like one of those spooky scary story games where the main character can be killed.

And you could always look at Yahzee's XDAS series. The last days of 6 Days A Sacrifice are SO scary. And you're all alone if you don't count the clone Trilbies. But they're just baits for The Prince, so.

I never played 6DAS but jesus ****ing christ I couldn't sleep after 5das ;-;

7das was decent but not half as good

Awesome, I'm going to go really loose on the Mario theme here but it will still be within it's bounds.

Now to find good ambiance and footstep sounds...

EDIT:
Main character is a bob-omb by the way, and thats all you'll get to know because atmospheric games require random secrecy.

I'm torn between my original inanimate object freind one and a 'two people lost in a cave trying to find each other and helping by unlocking things from their end in their freind's end' game.

I have an idea,

Mario and the princess go out for a stroll. Meanwhile bowser captures him and the princess, and uses a power cube that creates a black hole that sucks in every living creature, except luigi - and a secret friend. Some how he and his friend had a special power that made them resisistant to it, noticing that everyone is gone he has to try to survive the fleet of his minions that bowser leaves behind.

But I don't really like it, so its up for grabs for anyone who likes it.

Idea- Luigi's trapped in the masion again...WITH NO POLTERGUST!!! Now he needs to escape the mansion using his fists. :soverymanly:
