@Jack: There may not be a rule, but double posting is bannable in just about every forum you can find. you can't edit your posts? What? is your computer messed up. Why not just plan out your words first?

Like Ryoga said, you're basically flooding, which is a rule you are breaking. There is something called "look over your work and think about it first".

This topic is silly

In terms of the girl I'd think that it'd be alright to punish her under the obscenity charge mentioned earlier. But it should only only be her and it shouldn't be no 20 year registration as a sex offender since she is still a kid and is still learning what's right and wrong and the concept of "bad choices lead to bad consequences". Now if she did it again after already being told that what she was doing was wrong (even just the sending pictures of herself naked without asking the recipients first* rather than the fact that the images were "child porn") I'd call for something a little more heavy for a punishment (but still no 20 year thing).

*assuming she actually didn't ask

As for the other issue in this topic,
Only thing I've got a beef with about Rath's/Jack's posts is the lack of proper capitalisation and periods. I'd assume you'd at least have time to fix that before you post. But that's just more of a personal pet peeve of mine than anything. But just in case the voice in my head is actually right, I'd like to mention that if you're posting like that since MFGG isn't letting you do that either (or some other issue I'm unaware of) I'd completely disregard the errors.



There's something I'm unaware of that's going to throw most of what I just said out the window, I just know it.

@123James: Uhm....she's 15, isn't she? That's about half-way through her teenage years. She should've had enough intelligence to know what she did was bad. She probably knew it was bad, but did it anyways, thinking she wouldn't get caught. If she were like 10, then that would be strange and a totally different story. A 10 year old may not know the consequences, but if done so, then that's just a child who probably said "I wanna be a playboy when I grow up, so I'm gonna get a head start on my career!" But if it's a 15 year old girl, the odds she knew what she was doing was illegal should be fair enough.

agree that 20 years is a bit high, but she still needs some kind of punishment. Which she got, I believe. No cellphones or computer but only for homework, with supervision.

And yeah, I know the fact she took the photos and sent them to her friends. BUT, if she took them herself of herself, how the hell can she be punished? "HEY YOU TOOK PHOTOS OF YOURSELF NAKED U PERVART". And sent them to her friends? Well, this does have a point. If she only sent it to 1 person, it wouldn't be that odd. But if she can send it to 2-10 (I don't know) people without anyone noticing it's porn, it's kinda odd. You know, if someone realised it was CP, they could've just said it to the others so that they don't accept it.

Since she sent it to her classmates, they were all the same age... And I doubt a lot of teens would delete naked pictures sent by a girl who's roughly the same age as you. It'd be pretty awful to convict them for not deleting them or anything.

Of course, the article doesn't really specify exactly what kids are getting in trouble for it, and why.

You sure? I thought she was being charged for sending the photos to a bunch of other kids and that no one gave a damn what she took pictures of.

that is crazy. pretty much the exact same thing happened at my school except the photograph in question was actually produced in what was obvious school grounds so it was a thousand times less classy. because of the internet, everyone saw it and the girls mother made her leave the school. that was a crazy week.
