Well I didn't expect this happening. Personally I don't care how blizzard spins this but by splitting up Star Craft 2 into three games is basically getting their fans to buy the game three times. I don't see how they couldn't put all three campaigns onto one copy of the game as the original Star Craft did this. I'm surprised that a company that cares about their fan base is screwing them over this much or I'm just over reacting. Thoughts?

Whaaaat? I was going to buy the game too.

Then again, I can just buy the 3rd one and pirate the other two, since they're just single player.

I posted this in the ccc.

Well, it'd be fine if the games were about 20 dollars each, but I doubt that'd happen.

Just wait for a battle chest if you don't want to waste too much money, or just settle with the first one.

Given the amount of hardcore fans still around, it seems greedy because Blizzard would know every one of those fans will want to buy each copy. $$$ for Blizzard.

You also have to remember that, technically, the original Starcraft had two separate games for the full single player mode, just that the second half was sugar-coated with the term "expansion."

Edit: On second thought

Each campaign is treated as a fully fleshed out game, with each title ending the same way.

Yeah this is just utter corporate bull**** to make more money. The question is will it actually work?

Let's take an example of how greedy Blizzard is.

WOW. Yes, World Of Warcraft, not Wizard Of Wor or anything.

You pay about 20$ for the game, about 20$ for the first expansion pack, whatever its name is. Then you'll pay like 15$ a month to play it.

They have like 10 million players. Even if half of them haven't bought any playing time, it's still like 75000000$ for Blizzard every month.

SEVENTYFIVE MILLION DOLLARS FOR BLIZZARD EVERY MONTH JUST FOR WOW. And that's JUST for WoW.

Wow. Way to go Blizzard, what with the ****ting-us-around type of selling games.
