Hey Mecha, I dunno if that's a new feature but I think you could add elements within the game, too. Instead of just working with blocks and those plasma orbs, you could add things like water and wind in your game, too. Here's some examples:

This stage would feature water, a drain and a flat wood platform. She can't get on the other side since the roof isn't portal-able. The wood also covers most of the bottom floor, so it's not possible to do that momentum trick.

The solution for the riddle would be

You place a portal below the water, and another one in one side of the pit. That'll make water start flowing through the portals and filling the pit. The wood platform would float, making a bridge.




Wind, for example, could work with something like this stage

There's a weight companion cube and one of those buttons which activates a door. Something must hold the button in order to keep the door open. There's also a strong wind duct that doesn't hurt the player. There's no way to teleport the cube below or to go up there and take it yourself.

The solution would be

Just place a portal below the wind duct, and another portal in the wall near the cube, facing towards it. That'll make wind blow through the portals and pushing the cube off the hill. The cube will them slide down and fall right on the button (or near it, but then you can just pick it up, anyway).



Yeah, those are basic ideas, I think you could came up with something harder (and also things like fire, etc.)

The water idea seems neat, I'm pretty sure I'll use it, but replace it with acid instead.

I mean, I would love to help if you're making a spriting team, since I'm sure I would never be able to do everything alone. And, yeah, I know spriting teams never work (i.e. CFP), but I would like to help with some minimal sprites if there were more people working on it.

Well what we'd want is an all-arounder who would pretty much do all the smal sprites like Chell and LUV CUBE.
It's not really that much.

edit: Drezus, we'd like someone who could do pretty much everything. You don't seem like the guy we need, sorry D:

Okay still looking for a spriter, anyone who can up with a style that I really really dig, it'll be used. What I'm aiming for here is a semi-realistic, emotionless, dull Chell. Emotionless because the player will relate himself to her, dull because it boosts the loneliness feel, and realistic because no OMG ANIME.
There can be multiple spriters, but for now we're just trying to get a style down.
