But no, seriously guys, about 99.99999% of the suggestions in this topic won't do jack ****. I come from an upbringing that was considerably worse and know way more what it's like to deal with invasive, berating, and stubborn parents.
You can hate your parents all you want. Your parents can tell you that you're going to be a ***** or that you're going to land in jail before the age of 20 just for doing things you like to do. Your parents can prevent you from hanging out with friends on the unfounded belief that your friends are doing drugs and ****ing each other like dogs in heat. Your parents can hit you over the head with wooden spoons, shoes, or musical instruments. Guess what? Until you move out of their house, permanently, and not relying on them for squat, you still owe it to them to grow some hair and deal with it. Right now, you need them way more than they actually need or even give a **** about you or how you think or feel.
Calling your folks crazy isn't going to solve anything. And neither will showing her this topic. You guys think Mrs. Aforcer's mom is nuts now? Wait until she sees this topic. Not only will she cut off her college funding, she'll also gripe about how the internet is soiling her petit "dove" and cut that off too. In addition, we can probably expect her to bluff some **** about running a police investigation on MFGG to have everyone here for ruining her sweet little angel.
The only other person in this topic who's given any kind of reasonable advice is Lightning, and even then, it has to be done diplomatically. Mrs. Aforcer, call your mom, KINDLY (and I cannot stress this enough, KINDLY) show her your grades and what you've been doing in class. It'll get her off your back. And don't go saying, "My mom's nuts, I'm not showing her a thing," because that doesn't work either. She'll pester the **** out of you until you fess up. |
Best Advice Yet.

WOOO I ROCK yea parents can be crazy irrational sometimes
another suggestion might be, if you have a prof. who you're friendly with, see if you can get him or her to send your mom a note or something about how you've been doing so well in his or her class =P
